Reliance Jio unveiled its first 4G VoLTE feature phone, the JioPhone back in July, last year. It comes with Jio Music, Jio Cinema, Jio TV and few other Jio apps and recently got support for Google Assistant. Now the company has announced that Facebook app will be available for the feature phone through the app store starting from today, February 14th.
“The app will offer a comprehensive Facebook experience, allowing people to connect with the people who matter most. It supports push notifications, video, and links to external content. The app is also optimized to successfully accommodate the cursor function on JioPhone and delivers a best-in-class performance for Facebook’s most popular features, such as News Feed and Photos,” Reliance Jio said in a statement.
Commenting on the Facebook rollout, Akash Ambani, Director, Jio, said:
