We really miss Carl Zeiss optics in the latest Nokia Android smartphones. Several Nokia flagships including the Nokia N8, Nokia 808 PureView, Nokia Lumia 1020 and more came with Carl Zeiss optics and set a benchmark in the smartphone industry. Today HMD Global, the firm behind the new Nokia-branded handsets, and Zeiss have jointly announced a new long term development partnership aimed at setting new imaging standards in the smartphone industry.
“The partnership will see ZEISS and HMD Global co-develop standard-defining imaging capabilities and will bring the ZEISS brand back to Nokia smartphones,” said Nokia. “This renewed relationship is a long-term commitment to build on that technology innovation over the years to come,” added Nokia.
