The tech giant Google has started rolling out a new security update for Pixel and Nexus devices through over-the-air (OTA) and also posted factory images, as part of monthly Android Security release.
The latest update for this month (July) fixes several critical issues, including issues in Runtime, Framework, Libraries, Media framework and more. Check out the complete set of issues that are fixed in the latest update in the Android Security Bulletin.
New builds for the Pixel and Nexus devices with July 2017 Android Security update:
- Pixel and Pixel XL (NHG47O/NJH47D/NKG47M/NZH54B)
- Nexus 6P (N2G48B)
- Nexus 5X (N2G47Z)
- Nexus 6 (N6F27H)
- Nexus 9 LTE (N4F27I)
- Nexus 9 Wi-Fi (N9F27F)
- Pixel C (N2G48B)
- Nexus Player (N2G48B)
The OTA update notification should automatically pop up on your device. If it’s not, heading to device Settings > About phone > Software update, to check it manually. You can also download the Factory images, or even OTA images for these Pixel and Nexus devices from the Google Developers website.
