Samsung has finally started an early access program for its Bixby AI-powered voice assistant (like Apple Siri or Google Assistant) to select Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners in the U.S. that will allow users to engage Samsung’s intelligent interface and get more done on their smartphone using just their voice, before it goes live for everyone.

Galaxy S8 or S8+ owners can sign up today to participate in the early preview test, which will launch in the near future. To sign up for an advanced look at Bixby Voice, S8 and S8+ owners can visit here, confirm that you have an S8 or S8+, enter your Samsung account email address, agree with the usual Terms and Conditions and you’re set. An email from Samsung should arrive shortly afterwards.

Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8 series of phones come with dedicated Bixby hardware button that lets you access Bixby Voice by pressing and holding it. You can use Bixby voice commands in 10 of Samsung apps such as Samsung Health, Samsung Internet, Gallery, Calculator, Weather, Reminder, Camera, Phone, Contacts and Clock. It can handle complex tasks however you describe them.

Samsung plans to continuously update Bixby, including support for additional languages, features, third-party apps and devices. Currently, Bixby is available only in Korean and English language.
