Nextbit has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) update for the Robin smartphone users globally. Previously, the cloud-focused device was running Android 7.0 (Nougat), which came to the phone back in March.

The update is available through Over-the-air (OTA) and is 560MB in size. It brings Android security patch of April 1st, along with the Android 7.1.1 improvements.

As we know the OTA updates are rolled out in stages, so it may take a few days before they reach all the devices out there. Notification for the update should automatically pop up on your device when it is available for you, or you can check it manually by heading to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update.

Nextbit has also released a Robin factory image for 7.1.1 on Razer Insider, so if you need to wipe your Robin (or you want to do a clean update), you can start from the newest version. You can find the factory images at the source link below.
