Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has finally started rolling out Android 7.0 (Nougat) update with EMUI 5.0 for the Honor 6X smartphone. The update will be available through over-the-air (OTA) to all the users worldwide by mid to late-May.

Inside the update, you’ll find the typical Nougat features – such as multi-window support, improved Google Keyboard, improved notification panel, Doze on the go, recent apps menu, customizable Quick Settings toggle etc.

On the other hand, EMUI 5.0 brings a range of UI changes including changes to the Home-screen layout, Notification Shade, App Drawer, Recent Apps and more. It also comes with features like – App Locker, App Twin (Dual – Apps) for WhatsApp and Facebook, Eye comfort blue-filer mode etc.

Notification for the update should automatically pop up on your device when it is available for you, or you can check it manually by heading to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update.
