HMD Global has started rolling out a new software update to its first Nokia-branded Android smartphone – the Nokia 6. Weighing in at around 370MB, the update brings Android OS version 7.1.1 (Nougat) and comes with build number 00CN_3_170.

In addition, the update brings enhance power saving as well as background management, support for 4G/3G dual SIM dual standby and Android security patch for April, 2017. It also updates Nokia USB driver and version of preload application.

The update is available through over-the-air (OTA) and as we know the firmware updates are rolled out in stages, so it may take a few days before they reach all the devices out there. Notification for the update should automatically pop up on your device when it is available for you or, you can check it manually by heading to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update.
