Motorola had announced a list of all the devices that will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update by the end of this year, and now the company has started rolling out the update through over-the-air (OTA) for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus mid-range smartphones in India.

The update comes with build number NPJ25.93-11 and it brings several new features such as Multi-window support, Notification enhancements, Data Saver, Background optimizations, Direct boot, partial support for more than 100 new languages and 25 locales and lots more. Moto is also adding a new Moto action feature with Nougat that lets you swipe to shrink the screen, and a new setting to disable and enable locking the screen when the screen is on and you touch the fingerprint sensor (for Moto G4 Plus).

As we know the firmware updates are rolled out in stages, so it may take a few days before they reach all the devices out there. The update notification should automatically pop up on your device. You can also check it manually by heading to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update.
