Back in August Sony Mobile confirmed Android 7.0 (Nougat) update for a range of smartphones and last month the update rolling out for Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ smartphones. Now the company has started rolling out the update for another two X-series smartphones, the Xperia X (F5121, F5122) and Xperia X Compact (F5321) globally.
The new update comes with build number 34.2.A.0.266 and it brings new Android 7.0 features such as multi window support, long battery life, improved messaging app, smart home screen, new notification panel and more. Sony has also added new features such as manual shutter speed and ISO controls at the full 23MP resolution, new self-timer button to the front camera interface, STAMINA mode with three new power saving levels and more.
The OTA (over-the-air) update is about 1.3GB in size and will be gradually rolling out for all the users globally. The update notification should automatically pop up on your device when it is available for you or, you can check it manually by heading to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update.
