After Sony and HTC, Motorola has also confirmed the list of smartphones that will get the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update first. Moto Z lineup, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in the Moto G4 series will get Android Nougat update starting from Q4 2016, which is between October and December. Motorola’s spokesperson confirmed this to Droid Life, consumers can “expect to see Android N on the Moto Z family and Moto G4 beginning in Q4.”

List of Motorola devices that are confirmed to receive the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update:

  • Moto Z
  • Moto Z Force
  • Moto Z Play
  • Moto G4
  • Moto G4 Plus.

Update (Oct 5): Motorola has now officially confirmed that Moto G4 Play, Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Play Droid and Nexus 6 will also get the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update.

Android Nougat brings several new features such as Multi-window support, Notification enhancements, Data Saver, Background optimizations, Direct boot, Quick switch, partial support for more than 100 new languages, and 25 locales and lots more. You can check out the complete list of features here.
