The tech giant Google has started rolling out new security update for Nexus devices through over-the-air (OTA) and also posted factory images, as part of monthly Android Security release.

The latest update for this month (June) fixes several critical issues, including issues in Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability in Qualcomm Video, Sound, GPU, Wi-Fi and Camera Drivers, Remote Code Execution Vulnerability in Mediaserver, libwebm and more. New builds for the Nexus devices with June Android Security update:

  • Nexus 5X (MTC19V)
  • Nexus 6 (MOB30M)
  • Nexus 6P (MTC19V)
  • Nexus 7 2013 WiFi (MOB30M)
  • Nexus 7 2013 LTE (MOB30M)
  • Nexus 9 WiFi (MOB30M)
  • Nexus 9 LTE (MOB30M)
  • Pixel C (MXC89H)
  • Nexus Player (MOB30M)

The OTA update notification should automatically pop up on your device. If it’s not, heading to device Settings > About phone > Software update, to check it manually. You can also download factory images or even OTA zips for these Nexus devices from the Google Developers website.
