Sprint, one of the largest wireless network operators in the US has started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for HTC One M9 smartphones on its network. The software update is available Over-The-Air (OTA) and it bumps the firmware version to 3.41.651.3.
The Android 6.0 update brings the usual Marshmallow goodies, including Doze mode that helps improved battery life, better Permissions management, Google Now on Tap and much more.
As software updates are rolled out in stages, it may take a few days before they reach all the devices out there. You can always check for the latest software update manually by heading to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update.
For those who aren’t aware, Marshmallow update for the One M9 Canadian carrier variants rolling out last month and the Unlocked One M9 units in the US also received the update (Android 6.0) back in December last year.
