Meizu has started rolling out the Flyme OS update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) for its MX5 flagship smartphone, in India. The update is available Over-The-Air (OTA) and it’s weighs around 817MB in size. You can also download the firmware zip file from here and flash it manually.

The latest OS update brings over 300 features, over 1000 enhancements, intuitive and simple system app layout, smooth transition animation, Boot animation of Taj Mahal and a ringtone for India, Dynamic new settings page design layout and optimized battery consumption (11% more battery left after 5 hours of heavy usage). To remind you, the Meizu MX5 smartphone was launched in India back in August last year.
