Back in December last year, Nvidia rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its Shield Tablet K1 and now the company has started rolling out the same update (Android 6.0) to the original Shild Tablet. The update is available Over-The-Air (OTA) and it brings lots of changes to the device. Check out the update change-log below.

  • Optimized preloaded apps
  • Update to Android 6.0 Security Patch Level January 2016

NVIDIA recommends to back up the MicroSD card prior to downloading this update.”
